Physician's assistants, or PAs provide medical care to patients under the supervision of a doctor. They can do some of the things that a doctor can, including giving physical exams, making simple diagnoses, and sewing up wounds. PAs also prescribe medicine and keep a record of the patient's medical history. They can work in primary care settings, or they can specialize in a field like surgery, or pediatrics.
